INTERNATIONAL GRAPHICS, INC., PARENT OF R TAPE AND CUSTOM EXTRUSION TECHNOLOGIES, NAMES BUD PHILBROOK AS NEW CEO

 

Veteran Specialty Films and Packaging Executive 
Brings More than 30 Years of Experience

 

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – June 30, 2009 – International Graphics, Inc., a leading provider of tapes and films for the sign, screen and digital printing industries, today announced that Bud Philbrook, a highly accomplished executive with deep experience in the specialty films and packaging sectors, has been appointed the Company’s new President and CEO.  He was most recently President and CEO of Atlantis Plastics, Inc. after serving as President, Films Business; President of Operations; and President and Chief Operating Officer of the company.

Philbrook, 55, comes to IGI with over 30 years of industrial experience that includes several senior leadership positions with domestic and international, public and privately-held companies. They include Plassein International Corp., where he was President, CEO and Director; Huhtamaki Packaging Worldwide, where he was Group VP, Consumer Packaging, Americas; and Van Leer Flexibles, where he served as President.  He has a solid track record of growing value added product lines, and an extensive background in the application of statistical methods and lean manufacturing principles.

R Tape Joins the Sign Association of Canada

R Tape brings industry-leading products and services for sign makers and vehicle wrappers to SAC members

The Sign Association of Canada has represented the sign industry in Canada and its members for more than 50 years.

SAC members will be able to more easily learn first-hand about R Tape’s popular products for vehicle wrapping and sign-making, including the DigiMask™ Series, which is a useful installation aid for vehicle wraps and Vinylefx, R Tape’s printable metallized vinyl.
