New RTape Website Features Mobile Responsive Design

 RTape Corp. launched their new website optimized for compatibility with mobile devices, such as smart phones and tablets. The new mobile friendly website represents RTape's commitment to providing the graphic communications professional with the most relevant and useful information.

 "We felt the need to make the RTape site responsive with a broader range of devices for our customers," says John Danio, Vice President of Marketing for Nekoosa Holdings, Inc. "By redesigning our website we greatly improved the viewing and search capabilities on a phone or tablet. Visitors no longer need to fool around with zooming and shrinking the copy and images on the screen. This online resource center allows us to share information, which can help customers do their jobs quicker, easier and more efficiently."

The new RTape website features an easy to use product finder, distributor look-up and search functionality for accessing technical product information, tips-and-tricks, blog posts and case studies.

These changes also complement RTape's new social media presence on Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube. They recently posted five new technical videos:

The plethora of terms used for the application tapes sold in the sign and screen print markets could confuse anyone. In the sign market, many people just use the terms “application tape” or “application paper”. Frequently this tape is also incorrectly referred to as “transfer tape”.
If you are a purist and want to pick a few nits, the terms application tape and transfer tape refer to completely different products. Transfer tape refers to a transfer adhesive, which is an adhesive coated onto a release liner.

Many shops, which have printed wall murals in which the ink bleeds to the edge of the panel, have experienced edge curl issues with a variety of vinyl films. For permanent wall graphics applications, I would consider using Arlon’s DPF 8000 film. DPF 8000 is a 3.5 mil (90 micron) satin white calendered vinyl, designed for long term indoor and outdoor applications. It features an aggressive, permanent pressure-sensitive adhesive that sticks to those “hard-to-stick-to” surfaces.
