New VinylEfx Colors and Patterns Now Available

Nekoosa recently added eight new color/pattern combinations for their RTape VinylEfx metalized vinyl portfolio. Additional colors include champagne, rose gold, copper and bronze and are available in both smooth and fine brush finishes.

VinylEfx is a series of metalized adhesive backed vinyls used for cut-lettering applications, printed graphics and decorative holiday displays. VinylEfx is available in both indoor decorative and outdoor durable series with a permanent adhesive.

"After researching current and forecasted color trends, we are excited to launch four new warm metallics to our curent VinylEfx portfolio to be used by themselves or as accents for any color palette, says Kelly Boeder, Senior Product Manager at Nekoosa. "These on-trend colors are perfect for window designs and identification, printed decals, retail decor and more. The fine brush pattern softens each color while the smooth pattern adds vibrancy and high gloss."

VinylEfx is compatible with UV inkjet, eco solvent, true solvent and screen printing inks, without the need for additional top coats. Printer profiles are available at https://rtape.color-base.com/.

The new colors and patterns are each available in the indoor decorative and outdoor durable grade in the sizes listed below. VinylEfx can be purchased from RTape distributors throughout the country, which are listed on the RTape website. Please click her to view the list.

The plethora of terms used for the application tapes sold in the sign and screen print markets could confuse anyone. In the sign market, many people just use the terms “application tape” or “application paper”. Frequently this tape is also incorrectly referred to as “transfer tape”.

Many shops, which have printed wall murals in which the ink bleeds to the edge of the panel, have experienced edge curl issues with a variety of vinyl films. DPF 8000 is a 3.5 mil (90 micron) satin white calendered vinyl, designed for long term indoor and outdoor applications. It features an aggressive, permanent pressure-sensitive adhesive that sticks to those “hard-to-stick-to” surfaces.
